Nelson T.C.P. weights. Two miles. The HACK STAKES of 5 soys., added to a sweepstakes of 10s. each. Catch weights. Heats. One mile. The LADIES' PURSE of 25 soys., added to a sweepstakes of 3 sovb. each. Nelson T.C.P. weights 5 the winner of the Motueka Cup to carry 7 lbs. extra. Second horse to save his stake. Heats. One mile and-a-half. The CONSOLATION PLATE of 20 soys., added to a handicap sweepstakes of 2 soys. each, p.p. ; for horses that have started and not won in the previous races. Second horse to save his stake. Horses to be named within a quarter of an hour after the last heat for the Ladies' Purse, and to be handicapped by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint. One mile and a distance. Regulations. An allowance of 4 lbs. will be made to all horses brought from the other provinces of New Zealand to run at this meeting. No person not a subscriber of two guineas to the fund will be allowed to enter a horse for any race. The prizes will be paid by the Treasurer, oq the Monday following the races, at the Wakatu Hotel, Nelson, at eleven o'clock, a.m. Entries (excepting for the Hack Stakes and Consolation Plate) to be made, and colours of the riders declared, under a sealed cover to the Stewards, at the Wakatu Hotel, at or before six o'clock, p.m., on the evening of Monday, the 7th March. No public money will be added to the sweepstakes by the Stewards, unless two horses, the bonajide property of separate owners, do start. A bell will ring for saddling and another for starting 5 not more than five minutes allowed after the last bell, when the horses at the post will be started. Horses to be at the post for the Motueka Cup, at twelve o'clock. The rules of the Nelson Turf Club will be strictly adhered to. Persons are requested not to bring dogs on the course. C.
