NOTICE TO IMMIGRANTS. — The Provincial Government of WELLINGTON will, in pursuance of the Resolution of the Provincial Council, be prepared to convey to each immigrant (introduced under their regulations), as soon as he shall have redeemed his promissory note or notes, a quantity of Land equal in value (at the rate of 10s. an acre) to one-fourth of the amount of his passage money. For example : every Immigrant, on redemption of his promissory note or notes, will be entitled to receive Ten Acres of Land for every Twenty Pounds he shall have paid on account of the passage of himself and family. These grants of land will either be made out of blocks specially reserved for immigration purposes in small-farm and agricultural settlements, or in the immediate vicinity of roads in process of construction ; or the immigrant may select the quantity to which he shall be declared entitled out of any lands open to purchase as Rural. In order to facilitate the location of immigrants desirous of immediately settling upon land and of being employed on the Public Works, Reserves will be made wherever practicable, along or near each line of road, and will be laid off in ten-acre sections, which the immigrants will be permitted at once to occupy, receiving a conveyance of the same as soon as they shall have paid the whole of their passage money. Parties desirous of availing themselves of this privilege in the block at present being surveyed in the Grey Town Settlement, are requested to make immediate application to the undersigned, who will give any further information that may be required. MATTHEW LITTLE begs to announce that he has purchased the Van, and intends running from Waimea Hotel on SATURDAY next, 27th September, and on MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, FRIDAYS, and SATURDAYS, leaving Waimea Hotel punctually at Eight o'clock ; Dartnall's corner, Richmond, at Half-paßt Eight o'clock ; arriving in Nelsou at about Ten o'clock ; and leaving Trafalgar Hotel at Three o'clock in the Afternoon. Receiving Houses for Parcels and Commissions, which will be carefully and punctually attended to : — Waixba Hotel; Hodder's, Richmond; Ttjhf Hotsl, Stoke; and Trafalgar Hotel, Nelioo. Charges moderate.
