I- hereby apppint WEDNESDAY, the third day of August next, at Noon,, at the Motueka school room, for the NOMINATION of Members to serve in the House of Representatives, and of Members to serve in the Provincial Council. In the event of a Poll being demanded for. either or both, I hereby appoint THURSDAY, the eighteenth day of August next, for thei POLLING to take place for the Election of Members to serve in the House of Representatives, and FRIDAY, the nineteenth day of August next, for the POLLING to take place for the Election of Members to serve in the Provincial Council. In the event of a POLL being demanded in any or either of the aforesaid Districts, the Polling for the several Districts will take place as follows : — For the District of Suburban South, at Gar diner's Rope Walk aforesaid, and at the residence of John Humphries, wheelwright, Wakapuaka Road, on Friday^' the l&th day of August aforesaid ; For the district of Waimea East, at Richmond, on Wednesday, the 17th day of Augns* aforesaid ; For the District- of Waimea West, at the Waimea Village, on Thursday, the 18th day of August aforesaid ; and For the District of Waimea South, at Spring Grove, on Thursday, the 18th day of August aforesaid. 'ftTOTICE to HOLDERS of RUNS.— -L^i The Commissioner of Crown Lands being now in a position to grant LICENSES for the occupation of Waste Land for depasturing purposes, hereby gives notice to all parties now occupying such lands as Runs, that, prior to the issue of any LICENSES, it will be necessary for each occupant to address to him a renewed application for the Run claimed, stating distinctly arid fully the boundaries of such Run, and the quantity of stock it is estimated to carry. ~V The forms of return of stock will iLortly be forwarded to all parties concerned, for the purpose of being filled up by each stockowner, preparatory to the necessary assessment being made by the Commissioner. How long ago is it since you mentioned the Sunday political meeting of Mr. Stafford's friends, which was held, or was to be held, at the Plough Inn, Richmond, one Sunday Morning at 1 1 o'clock ? •" 3. Did you not talk of it within the laitfonr weeks in the house of an Elector-fating your canvass for signatures to Dr. Monro's Uequisition ? 3. Did you not then say you thought of referring to the matter on the hustings ? I .vent to the hustings expecting it, but was disappointed. 4.
