Although my time is much occupied, I feel it a duty incumbent upon me to comply with a request emanating from so numerous and respectable a body of my fellow settlers, and should I have the honor of being returned as one of your Representatives, it will be my earnest endeavour to support that ' liberal policy which I consider best calculated to benefit tke Town of Nelson, and promote the general welfare of the Province.
