8-HOUR DAY FOR SEAMEN

MARITIME CONFERENCE RESOLUTION Copenhagen. Nov. 29. The wages committee of the International Maritime Conference passed a resolution calling for an 8-hour working day and a 48-hour week for seamen in all ships in any waters. It is recommended that overtime should be paid at the rate of 125 per cent, over ordinary time.
