CABLE AND RADIO MESSAGES
NEW RATES AGREED TO Bermuda, Nov. 29. American representatives on the Telecommunications Conference’s Rates and Circuits Committee have agreed to, 30 cents (Is 6d sterling and Is lOid New Zealand and Australian currency) as the maximum rate for ordinary cable and radio messages from any area in the British Commonwealth to the United States and in reverse directions; also 20 cents or Is sterling for code messages. April Ist is fixed as the date on which the new rates will come into operation. Rates below the ceiling of 30 cents will not be changed.
