DISTINGUISHED SOLDIER AND SAILOR
STATE LUNCHEON TO-DAY
Wellington, This Day. A State luncheon was accorded today to two distinguished British visitors who have arrived in New Zealand at about the same time, FieldMarshal Lord Alanbrooka, Chief of the Imperial General Staff, and ViceAdmiral Sir Philip Vian, Second in Command of the British Pacific Fleet. The toast of the guests was proposed by the Prime Minister (MFraser), who welcomed them as re presentatives of two of the three great services who served us so well during the war, and. so far as they individually were concerned, in the last The visitors replied.
