NELSON SUB-BRANCH

The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Nelson sub-branch of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers: Chairman, Mr A. B. Kidson; secretary-treasurer, Mr H. E. The following is a list of the addresses given at the meetings: “The Effect of Rates on Unimproved Values,” by Mr R. McGowan; “Crown Leaseholds.” by Mr Basil King, Commissioner of Crown Lands; “Wood Boring Insects,” (illustrated b; lantern slides) by Mr McDougall of Timber- Treatments, Ltd.; “Erosion,” by Mr N. MoConochic: “Some Impressions on the Farm Management and Valuation Course at Lincoln College.” by Mr G. M. Davies. B.Ag.Sc.,Dip., V.F.M. Drganised discussions were also held on two evenings, the subjects being: “Land Sales Valuations,” and “Native Reserve Leaseholds.”
