PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH The annual congregational meeting of Tasman-Mapua-Moutere Presbyterian Church was held at Mapua on. Wednesday evening, the Rev. Robert Blair presiding over a comparatively small, but representative attendance. The complete reports of all branches of church activity were printed and distributed prior to the meeting and were amplified in a comprehensive address by the Session Clerk. Mr W. P. Salmond, who concluded with a warm tribute to the fine services rendered to the church and the community at large by the Rev. and Mrs Blair, through a somewhat difficult year. The balance sheet indicated an improvement in church finances, due to increased efforts on the part of the missionary organisations, Bible classes and Sunday schools, and to a definite forward movement in the Upper Moutere section of the parish. In addition to meeting its full quota toward the budget schemes of the church a sum of over £4O had been raised for the Presbyterian Social Service Association work. The Rev. J. H. Coombes. of Motueka, was cordially welcomed to the meeting and delivered a thoughtful and thought-provoking address.
