STRONG WIND IN GREYMOUTH

MUCH DAMAGE CAUSED

Greymouth, This Day.

A strong wina in Greymouth early this morning caused damage to buddings and fences throughout the town ont ’ brick parapet being completely blown off. The damage totalled several hundred pounds. Liverpool and Strongman mines are idle, 600 men returning home owing to the power supply being interrupted .by the wind breaking the wires.—P.A.
