MOUTERE YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB
ACTIVITIES RESUMED After a lapse of three years the Mou. tere branch of the Young Farmers’ Club held a meeting in the Upper Moutere Hall. Eight old members, one new one, and Mr D. E. Merry, district secretary' were present. It was decided that a vote of sympathy be extended to Mr and Mrs Newport in the loss of their son, Basil, while on active service overseas. It was decided that the club resume activities, and endeavour to hold four more meetings during the year. The following officers were elected: chairman, Mr R. Bensemann; secretary and treasurer. Mr C. J. Teece; advisory president, Mr R. Teece; advisory members. Messrs C. Newport, F.' Drogemuller and A. Coleman: auditor. Mr F. Beuke; trustee, P.O.S. Bank, Mr C. J. Teece. An application for assistance is being made to the district committee. A lecturer is to be arranged for by Mr Merry for the next meeting, to be held in about a month’s time.
