FIRE ON RIMUTAKA
PASSENGERS LANDED AT LIVERPOOL (Rec. noon) London, July 29. Fire in the fanroom affecting the ship’s ventilation caused the liner Rimutaka to return to Liverpool and land the passengers a few hours after she sailed for New Zealand. The fire was quickly extinguished, but the Rimutaka is going into dock for repairs and the passengers are awaiting another ship.
