SOCIAL SECURITY CONTRIBUTION AND NATIONAL SECURITY TAX May Instalment: Persons liable to pay the combined charge of 2/6 in the £ on income other than salaries and wages derived during the year ended 31st March, 1945 are required to furnish a declaration of such income during the month of May. The first instalment of the charge thereon is due on Ist May and must be paid within one month to avoid the 10 per cent penalty for late payment. Declaration forms, S.S.C., 55, containing particulars of persons liable for the charge, together with full information and instructions, are available at all moneyorder offices. Registration Fee: All persons aged 16 years or over, who are not exempt, are required to pay an instalment of 5/- within one month from Ist May. Those entitled to exemption must complete the exemption application form within seven days after the last day for payment of the instalment. Persons in receipt of Social Security Monetary Benefits other than sickness and unemployment benefits, and War Pensioners, must produce their couponbook when claiming the instalment payable in June. Note: The first series Female Registration Fee (Levy) coupon-book expired in May, 1944, and those contributors not yet in possession of a second series coupon book commencing with the May 1945, coupon, must obtain one from their nearest moneyorder office, without further delay.— F. RELIEF SUPPLIES FOR HOLLAND Rugby, April 25. Answering a question regarding relief supplies to Holland, the Minister of State, Mr Richard Law, in the House of Commons, said: “Since the beginning of this year Sweden has sent 13.500 tons of foodstuffs and Switzerland 1000 tons of foodstuffs to Holland. Medical supplies have been sent from Sweden and the United Kingdom.
