FAIR TO FINE Wellington. This Day. Situation: A cold front is advancing to the north-east across Southland. Forecast to 5 p.m. Saturday: South-westerly winds, fresh at times, a few brief showers during the evening especially in the west, weather otherwise fair to fitie with temperatures becoming cooler. Further outlook: Fair conditions. Beautifully fine and sunny weather in Nelson this morning was marred by a cold and blustering south-westerly wind. Yesterday for the first time in nearly three weeks, temperatures rose above 70 degrees, the maximum being 71.2 degrees. There was 10 hours’ bright sunshine.
