New York, April 8. Byron Nelson set a tournament record at Atlanta. Georgia, by winning the Iron Lung golf championship with a 72 holes total of 268. Nelson’s rounds for the par 69 course were 64, 69, 65 mid 65. The previous record was 264. established by Craig Wood in 1940. on the Forrest Hills course. New Jersey.
