WITHIN TWO MONTHS
GERMAN COLLAPSE PREDICTED MUCH GUERRILLA WARFARE afterward: London, Aug. 15. Seventy-five per cent, of the Berlin diplomats and higher Nazi officials predict a German collapse within two months .according tc a well-informed traveller from the Reich, says the “New York Times” Stockholm correspondent. It is pointed out, however, that collapse this time will not be tantamount to an armistice because fanatical Nazis, having no othc choice, will probably go on fighting guerrilla varfare long after the last hope gone. Military operations on German t< rritory therefore n.ay well continue well into the spring. The traveller explained that the Gestapo, as units, will continue fighting because they think they cannot expect pardon from the victors. They will also be forced to defend themselves against a..ti-Nazis who will find the time opportune to settle old scores. The Germans fear prisoners of wai and foreign slave labour will ruh berserk between the Germai collapse and the end of the Is*/ Nazi resistance.
