WOMAN SERIOUSLY BURNT

NIGHTDRESS CAT< IES FIRE ACCIDENT AT MURCHISON Mrs A. Hughes, of Murchison, was seriously burnt early on Saturday morning when her nightdress caught alight. She was attending her children in front of an open fire and when she 4 urned around her nightdress was set on fire. Mrs Hughes ran to the bathroom for water but as she could not get water quickly enough she ran outside. A neighbour cam to her assistance and tried to smother the flames but by this time she was badly burnt. After treatment at the Murchison Cottage Hospital Mrs Hughes was brought in the ambulance . the Nelson Public Hospital, and her condition today was reported to be still serious.
