32 MILES OF CORRUGATIONS

ROAD FROM RAF TO KAITUNA REQUEST FOR PERMANENT SEALING The extremely rough surface on that section of the Nelson-Blenheim # State Highway between Rai and Kaituna was referred to at last night's meeting of the Nelson Automobile Association. For a distance of about 32 miles the road is deeply corrugated, making travelling conditions even in large service cars, most unpleasant. Mention was made of the heavy wear and tear on tyres and the bodies of vehicles passing over the road. It was decided to ask the Marlborough Association to join forces with j Nelson in making a combined request to the Main Highways Board for the permanent sealing of the highway
