ELECTRIC POWER FOR STANLEY BROOK

l To the Editor] Sir, —I see in Wednesday’s “Mail” that the Cobb scheme is nearing completion and it is expected that electricity will be available from there in the near future. I understand that the power from this scheme will be delivered to the Waimea Electric Power Board and that body will distribute it.- Sir, there is an area in the board’s district which has no electric power so far, and as we have heard nothing Jately of this area being reticulated, some of us are wondering if we are going to be passed by again, although it has been said there will be plenty of power from the Cobb to supply Nelson and Marlborough for some years. Mr Higgins is this area’s representative on the board, and we would welcome a visit from him to let us know what the intentions of the board are with respect to this area. —I am, etc., M. K. FORSYTH. Stanley Brook. 16th April.
