Flight Sergeant S. M. Bevan. who is serving in the Pacific with the R.N.Z.A.F.. has been promoted Pilot Officer (temp.). Mr and Mrs M. L. Robertson, Motupipi, have just received word that their son, L/A/C John Frazer Robertson, is fit and well Mr C. A. Montgomery. Clerk of the Court at Thames, has been appointed Clerk of the Court at Greymouth. T/Capt. N. G. Blue, son of Mr and Mrs Blue, Nile street East, has arrived home on furlough. Mrs R. C. Wadsworth, of Tapawera, has received further advice from the Government, saying that the conditions of her husband, Driver R. H. Wadsworth, has improved. Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel A. G. Couston, New Zealand Medical Corps, has been appointed honorary consultant psychiatrist to the Army, according to a notice in last night’s “Gazette.” Lt.Col. Couston relinquishes command of the Remedial Training Camp, Rotorua. The appointment of Mr Harry Evelyn Anderson, Wellington, as chairman of the Government Railways Appeal Board, in place of Mr Alfred Coleman, Feilding, who retired on account of pressure of magisterial duties, is notified in last night’s Gazette.
