EXCITING NEWS
I haven’t written lately as 1 have been waiting to tell you some exciting news. But it has not come yet so I can’t wait any longer to tell you. Dad has bought me a small boy’s bike from Reefton. A kind man found out about it for me. I have, been expecting it every day and I do hope it comes soon. I have a blue and also a red toothbrush, Jack has a blue one and Jill a pink one. Dad is buying aIL of us a new brush because it is Dental Health Week. Dad had to go away this weekend, so this morning I got up and made Mummy a cup of tea. She said it was so lovely she had two cups. Then I got all of us children our early glass of milk and then I did the dining room and kitchen. Mum said I was a very good boy. We went to the Air Force display. We saw England’s flag, America’s flag, and David’s flag (Australia) and my flag (New Zealand). I am going to write and tell David. It is funny that he lives in Collingwood street in Brisbane. I got into a bomber and was very excited.—Benny Gibbs, Nelson.
