INCREASE IN WHOLESALE PRICES Wellington, This Day. A price order just issued provides for an increase of 10s per ton to growers for potatoes over June prices. This increase is to operate from sth July to the end of the month, and a further order will be made for laKr sales. Retail prices are increased to 13d in Canterbury and Otago, 2d in Wellington, Auckland, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Napier, Gisborne, Picton, Blenheim, Nelson. Greymouth, West Coast and Hokitika. The price elsewhere is 2.Jd. Slightly increased maximum prices for some varieties of apples are permitted under a price order just issued. These retail changes follow an increase from 6d to Is 6d per bushel case in the wholesale price of certain varieties.— P.A.
