TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECAST

FAIR TO FINE Wellington, This Day. The indications are for winds moderate and variable at first with moderate westerlies later predominating, weather fair to fine, sharp frosts to-night but moderate day temperatures. The further outlook is for some scattered showers in the western districts, otherwise fair. A clear, fresh day with bright sunshine was experienced in Nelson today, a welcome change after the overcast and rainy conditions prevailing recently. The ground in places was white this morning with a frost of 3.8 degrees. Overcast conditions increased during yesterday and in the afternoon there was a light shower of rain. Only 2 hours 15 minutes’ bright sunshine was recorded yesterday.
