STRIKE AT AXIS HEART
PRIME OBJECT OF WAR MR NASH'S VIEWS Boston, Oct. 17. The Pacific situation is most critical and there is a long road ahead before i the tide turns, Mr Nash, N.Z. Minister to Washington, told the Foreign Policy Association, but however vital the Pacific was, the prime object of this war must be to strike at the heart of the Axis Powers which are undoubtedly located 'in Berlin. Hitler without the Japanese might manage to pull his chestnuts out of the fire, but it is very doubtful. The Japanese without Hitler would never achieve permanent success
although they would do irreparable harm and add enormously to the price the United Nations must ultimately pay for total victory.—P.A.
