SABOTAGE IN HOLLAND
FIFTEEN HOSTAGES SHOT London, Oct. 18. Fifteen Dutchmen from The Hague were taken as hostages and shot for recent sabotage. Dutchmen living in Zeeland Province : and the greater part of north Holland in the neighbourhood of coastal forti- : lications have been ordered to evacuate . their homes. The Danish authorities banned certain coastal areas for fishing and anchoring. OILFIELDS FIRE AT PLOESTI The Vichy news agency says it is 1 reported from Bucharest that a serious fire has broken out at the Ploesti oilfields. The cause is unknown. —P.A.
