THEFT ON VESSEL
Auckland, This Day. Arrested yesterday morning on a vessel, Eric William Running, aged 31, waterside worker, was sentenced in the Magistrates’ Court, Auckland, to two weeks’ imprisonment for stealing a 101 b tin of raisins valued at 12s 2d, the property of the United States authorities. Tlie m.-gistrate. Mr Morling, said Running was seen by a sailor on guard opening the tin of raisins with a knife which the sailor had lent him.-—P.A.
