MR EDEN EXPRESSES APPRECIATION (Rec. 11.20 a.m.) Rugby, April 29. Mr Anthony Eden, Foreign Minister, when asked a question in the House of Commons regarding the Egyptian Prime Minister’s declaration on 21st April expressing loyalty to the AngloEgyptian treaty said: “I have studied the declaration, which accords with His Majesty’s Government’s view of its Egyptian Ally’s obligations. I welcome the opportunit. to express appreciation of the terms in which the Egyptian Prime Minister affirmed, not for the first time, his intention of co-oper-ating with this country and its Allies within the framework of the AngloEgyptian treaty of safeguarding the interests of Imperial and Allied forces :n Egypt.”—B.O.W.
