81-MONTHLY MEETING OF BOARD At the bi-monthly meeting of the Pohara Domain Board held in Takaka on Monday evening, there were present Messrs P. V. Langford (chairman!. C. P. Reilly J. W. Murray, O. Cross for the grazing of 1A acres for three years be accepted on condition that he agreed to clear the land to the satisfaction of the board and immediately erect a boundary fence between Symes’ and the board’s property. Some concern was expressed by members at the possibility of damage to the young trees growing on the domain as a result of Home Guard activities in the locality, and the secretary was instructed to communicate with Company Commander J. A. Lockhart. B Company. Golden Bay Battalion, requesting that he take any action that might be • necessary to prevent damage to the | board’s plantation. The question of burning-otF gorsc and ’ other growth on the domain and the cutting of fire breaks to reduce the j fire danger was discussed, it being left to the chairman and Mr C. P. Reilly to arrange for a “working bec” of board members and other interested at i the beach. i
