SCRAP RUBBER DRIVE
DETAILS OF NATION-WIDE COLLECTION 50,000 TONS WANTED (Rec. 2.0 p.m.) Rugby, Jan. 23. Further details for the scheme of the nation-wide collection of scrap rubber were announced by Lord Portal, the Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Supply. Fifty thousand tons monthly is the figure aimed at. A Government order is to be issued next week to control the collection, sorting and storing of scrap rubber, and the erder will fix prices at which the scrap rubber may be sold from the point of collection to the works of the rubber reclaimers.—B.O.W.
