NEW COMMAND FORMED UNITED KINGDOM SECTION , As a result of regulations which have just been issued. New Zealand Expeditionary Force soldiers in Britain will no longer be under the command of tin* General Officer Commanding the I. Major-t P. ('. Frey berg. V.C'.. but will belong to a separate command. The regulations state Hint there shall be a section o! the force to be known a* the United Kingdom Section, New Zealand Expeditionary Fori *, its composition being determined from time to time by the Army Board in New Zealand. The powers of the General Officer Commanding tin* Expeditionary Force shall not bo exercisable in respect ot the United Kingdom Section, nor shall they be exercisable in respect of any member of tin' Fxpeditionary Force who for the time being belongs to the . Unit d Kingdom Section or to any unit ! forming part of that section. It is added that the Governor-Gen-eral my from time to time appoint an officer to command the United Kingdom Section out of New Zealand .this officer being called the Officer Commanding the United Kingdom Section. Tie will have lull power, subject only to the control and direction of the Army Board, to command, organise and administer the section. Subject to the control and direction of the Army Board, he will also have the same powers in respect of his section as the Genera! Officer Commanding is authorised to exercise in respect to members i of the Expeditionary Force who are under his command.
