BURGLARS AT STATION
ATTEMPT TO ROB SAFE Cambridge, Oct. 28. Burglars made an unsuccessful attempt last night to break open the safe at the Cambridge railway station. When he arrived at his office this morning the stationmo-ter. Mr P. Andrews, found that an attempt to open the the safe had been made by placing explosive j material in the keyhole. Although an explosion had taken place, it failed to dislodge the/ door. There was a considerable amount of money in the safe, representing the day’s takings from holiday traffic. Entrance into the office was gained by forcing a window. —P.A.
