CHORAL FESTIVAL
BY CATHEDRAL CHOIR The annual choral festival of the Nelson Cathedral Choir will be held to-morrow (Tuesday) at 8 p.m. in the Cathedral Choral and solo items will include special settings of five famous hymns, also excerpts from Handel’s oratorio “Israel in Egypt” and Spohr’s “God, Thou Art Great ” The violin and organ will be associated in Beethoven’s Romanza in G Major” Mis? Austin (violin) and Miss F Bensemann (contralto) are the assisting artists The organ items include Liszt’s “Consolation,’' excerpts from Boellrnann’s "Suite Gothique” and Holloway "Suite Ancienne." A collection will be taken for the choir funds.
