MOTORSHIP AGROUND IN WANGANUI RIVER

Wanganui, This Day. The coastal motorship Holmdale is aground in the Wanganui river but is expected to float off on the high tide at 7 this evening. The vessel was i stranded at the same place yesterday | but got off after an hour. Floods last week have apparently caused shoaling in the seven mile stretch of river between Castlecliff and Wanganui.—P.A.
