This is | „ the sixth enemy 7 machine recently de- j , stroyed by the Squadron. a The successful pilot was out on con- j voy patrol with another member of the • squadron when he saw a Dornier dodg- j ing in and out of the clouds. Five , bombs were let fall wide of the convoy | ' as the Eagle pilot went into the cloud j . after the German. “I gave him a burst I and then began a long chase.” said the | pilot when he returned. “Low cloud i gave the bomber many chances but ■ after my final burst he went down."— 1 5 i 8.0-W.
