NO PARLEY WITH NAZI GERMANY DECLARATION' BY GOVERNMENT IN LONDON’ 'Rcc. 1.30 p.m.) Rugby, July 28. Apart from the change in the Defence Department, the personnel of the Netherlands Government in London which has been appointed by Queen Wilhelmina remains unaltered. In view of the great importance attached now to the Netherlands Navy a separate Na\v Department has been created The department will function under Vice-Admiral Furstner’s direction The Netherlands Government intimated that "the entire conduct of affairs and the method of woiking are and will continue to be directed to p.u licipate most energetically with the Allies and the United States in the prosecution of the war, the regaining of their complete independence, and precaution of the solution of problems which will occur afterwards." The Government also affirmed its intention to place its services at the disposal of the Queen upon their return !<' ,hc Netherlands. The Government 13 unconditionally determined that no parley whatsoever with the Nazi regime will be entertained. Neither discussions nor negotiations with Hitler and his conspirators will be entered into. Every effort which the Netherlands is capable of making will be made in order to assist in the liquidation of the present day Nazi Germany —B.O. W.
