MOTUPIPI PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE
CARD PARTY AND DANCE The Motupipi Patriotic Committee - held the third of its series of fortnightly card parties and dances in the Motupipi School on Saturday night. There was a large attendance, again demond strating the popularity of these func- )_ tions. The proceeds amounted to £4 15s. Those successful at the euchre tables were: Ladies’ section, Mrs T. Raharuhi -1, Mrs J. Canning 2; men’s section, Mr A. Bruce 1, Mr Les Grant 2. For the dance. Mr W. Bosher acted as master of ceremonies, while Mrs Val Page played lively music. Extras were contributed by Mr J. Del any. The Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss L. Coppell and Mr J. Dela-ny, the prize S for a special competition going to Mr W. Bosher. The committee dsipensed a delicious supper.
