DR BARNARDO’S HOMES

CLOTHING URGENTLY NEEDED During the “Battle of Britain” eight of the Barnardo Homes have been destroyed, and the present family of 8,250 children has been increased by over 400 additional children needing help. For all these, funds and clothing are urgently needed—garments in good condition or others that can be repaired. These are greatly needed for adults as well as children and babies. Mrs E. A. Leighton, 33 Seaview road, Remuera, Auckland, intimates that she will be very glad to arrange for any garments to be received and forwarded to England to help fill the need. She adds: —"A year ago. the income of the Homes dropped £50,000, but the work must be kept going. Will you help? New Zealand cannot let Britain down in this struggle for life.”
