DEATH IN AMBULANCE

[United Press Association] DARGAVILLE, 11th February. Dargaville’s senior borough councillor, Mr Andrew Colombus Paul, J.P., aged 77 years, died late on Saturday afternoon near Albany, while being transported by the St. John Ambulance to Auckland for medical treatment. He was a member of the Napier Borough Council in 190 7 and arrived in Dargaville in 1909. He was a member of the Borough Council from 1917 to 1928 and w'as re-elected in May, 1935. He was a member of the executive of the Dargaville branch of the Labour Party.
