The Germans, not content with ! annexing Lorraine after driving many | thousands of French people from their | homes, are reported to be expelling ! still more French people and to have extended that policy even to Alsace. This news comes at a time when Marshal Petain has stated that he will not ask for Germany’s help in Africa because that would involve France in war with Britain. It is recalled that the first expulsions from Lorraine begav after the Vichy Goverment had rejected M. Laval’s plan for unlimited French collaboration with Germany.
