NINETEEN MINES
SWEPT UP IN BASS STRAIT [U.P.A.-By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 4th December, 12.25 p.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. Nineteen mines have been swept up in Bass Strait since the two ships were sunk there about three weeks ago. This was announced by the Minister of the Navy, Mr Hughes, who added that minesweeping was continuing.
