The radio stated that in view of Mr Churchills’ statement on 26th November further discussion of a Christmas truce was useless. In reply to a question in the House of Commons recently, the Prime Minister, Mr ChurchilL said the Government would reject any proposal for a period of armistice to commemorate Christmas.
