CHRISTMAS IN CAMP

TERRITORIAL TRAINING PERIOD EXTENDED DEMOBILISATION ON 29th DECEMBER The period of training for the terriforces now in camp has been extended to include Christmas. It was originally understood that the camps would end on the 21st December but it is now learned that the training will continue until the 29th December. It will be the first time for many years that temporarily mobilised home defence soldiers will be receiving instruction over the Christmas period. In addition to these temporarily mobilised territorials, other home defence soldiers will also have to spend Christmas Day in camp. These include ex-servicemen on guard duty at vital points and artillerymen mobilised for the coastal defences. A proportion of these men must stay on duty.
