ENROLMENTS DURING WAR

AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP The following monthly figures of enrolments of members by the Automobile Association (Nelson) since the beginning of the war were given at a meeting of the association last night: September 40. October 24, November 46. December 43. February 90. March 27. April 31. May 26. June 29, July 16. August 21, September 9, October 52, a total of 454. The chairman. Dr S. A. Gibbs, remarked that it was very gratifying to find such a number prepared to join the association at such a time. It was explained that during last September (when the enrolments were 9) the Patrol Officer was on holiday.
