HOMING PIGEONS

RACES FROM PARNASSUS ANQ WELLINGTON Races were flown by the Nelson Homing Club from Parnassus and Wellington. From Parnassus the birds were liberated by the stationmaster in fine weather. Results: —S. F. Hockey 3hrs 20min 13sec 1; J. Haycock 3hrs 21min 15sec 2; G. Jennens 3hrs 33min 43sec 3; H. Simpson 3hrs 35min 30sec 4; E. Adams 3hrs 57min 57sec 5; R. Hill 4hrs 4min 56 sec 6; L. Quinton 4hrs 6min 37sec 7. From Wellington the single-up were liberated by Mr F. Couper. Results:— J. Haycock lhr 41min 52sec 1; R. Hill lhr 45min 17sec 2; H. Simpson lhr 59min 10 sec 3; S. F. Hockey 2hr 2min 7sec 4; G. Jennens 2hr 14min 25sec 5; L. Quinton 2hr 33min 26sec 6.
