LET US DO OUR PART
[To The Editor] Sir, —Is it to be that the Lion's Cubs become the prey of the Wolverine? Surely not! We ask God to save us, let us do our part. Scrap our vices and idols, we know we have plenty, and come back to God and Christ. We know that we have allowed them to grow steadily larger and stronger until we i regard them as necessities. They are overwhelming us; while we are trying to overcome these outside foes who are killing both body and soul wherever they can. Can God find us worthy to save if we will not put shcUlders to the wheel and be strong and fit for the battle? That is surely better than to sink under the dreaded outside foe and i have no hope for life, even let alone | any selfish indulgence. We need not wait for the Government to set the | example, but each and all may know * liis own sins and depart from them. It ] is a hill, aye, mountain, but let us ma'ke 1 it, it is rudely worth the climbing; we : may rest by the way, but never turn j back. We would not wish to return af- j ter (Tie first great effort is made, and j i our hearts are set on the Good of i j Mankind and Hope of Eternity.—l am, , ; etc., A SMALL VOICE.
