EGYPTIANS WITHDRAWN
TROOPS ON THE LIBYA FRONTIER CAIRO, 20th June. The Prime Minister, Aly Maher 1 Pasha, replying to a question in the ! Chamber of Deputies, revealed that the Egyptian troops have been withdrawn 1 from the Libya frontier in order to ' prevent a serious incident before Par- ; liament “had time to act in the best, interests of the country.” He denied that Egyptian forces had i not defended themselves when attacked, and he reaffirmed that Egypt was following a policy of complete sup- j port for Britain, fulfilling all her obligations.
