MAGNETIC MINES’ FAILURE

FREEDOM RADIO’S COMMENT The failure of Herr Hitler’s magnetic mine campaign was referred to in a broadcast from the German freedom

station, stated a news broadcast from Daventry. The freedom station stated that only two British ships had been sunk since the New Year. Germany had still another kind of mine, but when one was fired at off the coast of Norway it simply fell to pieces and was found to contain only stones and cement. Either it wis a substitute for a mine or there had been sabotage in a German factory.
