NELSON CHESS CLUB

As was expected, MeNabb seems likely to win the A grade championship of the Nelson Chess Club. He has a score of 8 wins, no losses. At present second place is held by Wilkinson with 7 wins 1 loss (to MeNabb) and Mechen is third with wins 4 losses. The B grade seems to be an easy win for Sharland with 6 wins no losses. In second place is Campbell, 3 wins 3 losses. The A grade game Parsons v. MeNabb was interesting, and reached an end game of rook and pawns. McNabb’s end game play is deadly, and ho scored his Bth successive win. An adjourned game Mechen v. Maunsell was concluded. In this game Maun, sell had 2 rooks v. queen and bishop, and after a long struggle Mechen won a rook and Maunsell was compelled to resign.
