Once again the Business Committee! has maintained its queen in top posi-1 tion and secured the bonus awarded j in the week’s working. It is well-known | however, that the other two commit- j tees have plenty of funds in hand and 1 are awaiting a suitable opportunity to! pay in a sum which will ensure their j gaining top place. The fact that the' Brightwater memorial scheme has been approved for rubsidy has given added confidence to all concerned in the camI paign. Since the big functions of Monday, j King's Birthday, a card evening run by the business committee an J a dance I sponsored by the combined committees and the local centennial committee have | been the chief attractions. ! To-night, as advertised, a grand con- j cert followed by a dance will be held, in the Richmond Town Hall. The very j j best local talent has be n called upon | by the organiser. Mr Walter Black.
