CHISHOLM S APPOINTMENT i Uni fed Preen Association I WELLINGTON, This Day. • ••The appointment of Mr George Galloyvtty ChishoJin as a stipendiary magistrate was announced yesterday by the Minister ol Justice, The Hon. H. U. It. Mason. For several months last year Mr Chisholm held a i appointment as a temporary magistrate ;and exercised jurisdiction us a relieving magistrate in Auckland ami Christchurch. Mr Chisholm, who is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Now Zealand, juiued tlu Department of Justice in 1900, and has, for the past 17 years, held the position of registrar of the Supreme Court, clerk of the Magistrates' Court and official assignee in Napier. Mr Chisholm will proceed to Auckland almost immediately to take up magisterial duty there during the absence on furlough of Mr (Jrr Walker, S.M.
